Jason Lampkin for Afar Magazine
Earlier this Spring, I had the opportunity to shoot for one of my favorite photo editors who is now at Afar Magazine. I shot the Resident section, which features a local who introduces readers to the people, places and stories of his or her neighborhood. This Resident featured Jason Lampkin, a director and producer who works with 40 Acres and a Mule, and his neighborhood just happens to be my old neighborhood - Fort Greene!
It was so great to go back and shoot my old neighborhood and look at it with fresh eyes. And Jason is the perfect person to talk to about the neighborhood, having grown up there and seen all the changes, good and bad, himself.
